Episode 1 - Linnéa Sjögren

Listen to the Podcast episode here:

She’s a freelance learning producer who looks at new things through the lens of her motto: “How hard can it be?” definitely a good mindset to have when coming across new problems. She usually describes herself as a swiss army knife - she is not the perfect tool for one thing but she’s pretty good at many things. In May 2020, she decided to quit her safe job, in the middle of a global pandemic, and start her own company. She was a speaker at the Welcome into the Awesome conference in June 2021. Her session was titled “How to create content that’s fire, without burning out”.

Challenges Presented:

1) Imagine that a new client is really bad at getting in touch with you, they have to be reminded to review content, they don’t communicate unless prompted, and they don’t check in. How do you go about addressing this problem?

2) Imagine that you are a new L&D professional looking to upskill and learn the trade and you are bombarded by paid resources, L&D gurus, and expensive boot camps, they promise to teach you a lot of these skills and oftentimes within a quick timeline. What do you choose and why?

3) Imagine that you go through a kickoff meeting with a client and they tell you they want all the bells and whistles for their project. They want animation, video, voice-over, storyline, and original art/images. However, they have almost no budget. How do you narrow things down for them or do you go about addressing it another way?
